Clear the rooms
Empty the rooms where you can, or agree in advance which heavy pieces we move around the home or office.
We fit roll carpet and carpet tiles in homes, offices and majlis rooms in clear stages: measure, check the subfloor, lay underlay, fit with as few seams as possible, and leave the space clean. A free inspection in Riyadh, then a quote by phone or WhatsApp.

Picked your carpet on our carpets and rugs Riyadh page? Here is what happens next on site, and how you can save time on the day.
Empty the rooms where you can, or agree in advance which heavy pieces we move around the home or office.
Sweep and remove paint splashes, plaster crumbs and hard debris. A single hard lump under carpet can show through over time.
We need a working socket near the rooms and decent lighting; precise cutting at edges and doors cannot be done in the dark.
Tell us which doors already rub the floor. Some need a small trim once underlay and carpet thickness are added.
Decide where the eye should first meet the pile or pattern; roll direction changes how the colour looks from the entrance.
In towers, compounds and offices, tell us lift bookings and permitted delivery hours so rolls can be moved smoothly.
No single method suits every space. We decide with you based on the carpet type, how the room is used and the condition of the floor.
A carpet that stays flat for years and one that ripples after a few months often differ in the method chosen, not the price per metre. That is why we explain in the inspection why we suggest a particular method.
Gripper strips are fixed around the room edges, underlay goes down, and the carpet is stretched with a power stretcher and hooked onto the strips. It is common in bedrooms, lounges and majlis rooms because it feels soft underfoot and can be lifted and replaced later without damaging the floor.
The carpet is bonded to the floor with an adhesive suited to its backing. It is widely used in offices and busy areas because rolling chairs tend to make stretched carpet ripple. It needs a very level, dry floor and more careful preparation, and it is harder to remove later.
Ready-made squares are laid across the floor, which is practical when you want to swap a single damaged tile rather than redo the room. See our page on carpet tiles Riyadh.

We re-measure every room, because sizes can differ slightly from the plan, and mark the cutting path on the floor before touching the roll.

We unroll in the room or the nearest corridor and cut with a small allowance at the edges that is trimmed to final size after fixing.

After laying we fix the edges, tidy skirting and thresholds, remove offcuts and vacuum before handover.
We work out roll direction and where seams may be needed, keeping them away from main walking lines and strong direct sunlight where possible.
We sweep, scrape high spots, treat cracks and clear level differences, and lift old carpet and leftover adhesive where present.
Gripper strips go around the edges for stretch-in fitting, then underlay; for glue-down we prepare the adhesive instead.
We unroll and stretch evenly in the right directions, watching pile direction and matching pattern at the seams.
Bars are fitted at doors, doors trimmed if needed, offcuts trimmed and the floor checked by eye and hand before a clean handover.
| Where it is used | Note | |
|---|---|---|
| Carpet seam | Where the room is wider than the roll and two pieces must join | Kept away from walking lines, with pattern and pile direction matched so it shows less |
| Metal door bar | Between carpet and tiles at a room threshold | Secures the edge and stops fraying with heavy traffic |
| Ramp profile | Where carpet meets a lower floor at a different height | Reduces tripping and gives a cleaner transition |
| Edge tuck at walls | Along walls and skirting | The carpet edge is tucked behind or under the skirting depending on its type |
If the next room has parquet or vinyl, we choose the bar by the height difference between the two floors.
Send room sizes and photos of the current floor on WhatsApp, and we will arrange a free visit in Riyadh to measure and suggest the right fitting method.
Carpet does not hide subfloor problems; it can reveal them months later. So part of the inspection is spent checking the floor before we quote.
We confirm the floor is dry, clean and free of old adhesive, run a long straightedge across it to find dips and humps, and look at cracks and raised tiles near the edges. In new villas moisture is the first suspect, so if there are signs of water we postpone fitting or recommend a suitable barrier.

An average room over a ready floor is often done in a working day. Removing old carpet, levelling and staircases add time, which we state in the quote.
Each step is measured and fitted separately with its own fixing, covered on our stair carpet page.
Light fluff can come off some carpets in the first days, which is normal; just vacuum gently without pulling the fibres hard.
We leave you usable spare pieces, the best reference for matching colour and pattern if you need a patch later.
Enter each room separately, then send the result on WhatsApp with a photo of the current floor and doors.
In most cases yes, provided the tiles are firm, level and clean. Raised, cracked or loose tiles are repaired or fixed first, because their faults can show through the carpet surface after fitting.
It depends on the carpet and the underlay below it. The difference is usually small but it can touch the bottom of some doors, so we measure the gap under doors at the inspection and note in the quote whether any need trimming.
Seams may be needed where the room is wider than the roll, but a skilled fitter places them away from main walking lines and matches pattern and pile direction, which cuts their visibility a lot. Rooms narrower than the roll may need no seam at all.
Stretched carpet is hooked on strips around the edges over underlay and suits homes and bedrooms; glued carpet is bonded straight to the floor and suits offices and busy areas. We recommend one after seeing the space and how it will be used.
For stretch-in fitting underlay is a core part of the job because it adds softness and protects the fibres. For glue-down in offices it may be skipped depending on the carpet and the manufacturer’s advice, and we say so in the quote.
An average room is often a working day, while a whole villa can take several days depending on the number of rooms, stairs and old floors to remove. We give a better estimate after the inspection and your photos.
Usually yes, because stretch-in fitting needs no long drying time. We work room by room and move furniture between rooms. With glue-down we coordinate with you because adhesive may need ventilation and some time before use.
Send the size of each room, the current floor, photos of doors and stairs if any, and the carpet type if you have chosen one. That is enough for an initial quote that we confirm at the free visit; you can also read our notes on what affects carpet prices before comparing.
Send room sizes and photos of the floor and doors on WhatsApp, and we will arrange the inspection and a fitting date in Riyadh.
