Country of origin
Usually printed on the carton or in the product data sheet. Ask to see it in writing instead of relying on a verbal claim.
Many customers ask for “German parquet” without knowing what separates one plank from another. We explain what the label usually means, how to read a product data sheet, and which questions to ask before paying — then we measure your space and fit the floor after a free inspection anywhere in Riyadh.

The phrase is common in the market, but it is not a technical specification on its own. It usually points to the country of origin or to a quality level people expect from European planks. That is why we rely on the product data itself rather than the name alone. You can browse the types we supply on our parquet in Riyadh page.

Most laminate planks are built on a high-density HDF core. Ask which core is used and how it copes with humidity — we explain this in our HDF parquet guide.
Shows how well the surface resists scratches and daily use. A higher class suits busy rooms, while a bedroom is fine with a lower one.
Affects stability, how the floor feels underfoot and how high the floor sits at doors. We measure your doors during the inspection before fixing the thickness.
Click planks lock together without glue. Edge details influence how easy fitting is and how the joints look.
Check what the data sheet says about emissions and classification, especially for children’s rooms and bedrooms.
The first thing we do with a customer asking for German parquet is ask for the product card. It contains more useful facts than any sales description: thickness, wear class, core type, locking system and country of manufacture. If this information is missing, pause and ask before you compare prices.
The country of origin is normally printed on the carton. Be aware that some products carry a European brand name but are made elsewhere. That is not automatically a flaw, but you deserve to know. Our quotes state the product name and origin exactly as shown in its data, and we only call a product German when its data says so.
The wear class answers a simple question: will this plank cope with daily life in your space? A busy family home needs a higher class than a rarely used guest room. If the space is an office or shop, also read our page on office flooring.
A thicker plank feels more solid, but it raises the floor a little, so some doors may need a light trim. We measure the gap under each door during the free inspection and tell you in advance whether trimming is needed, instead of surprising you on fitting day.
Even a good plank suffers on a damp or uneven base. We check the base first, following the steps in floor preparation and levelling, and then decide on the right underlay.
A colour can look different in the showroom than in your home, so we show the sample under your room’s own light before you decide.

Open up small rooms and hide light dust, though dark scratches can show more under some lighting.

Give a rich look in large living rooms, but need regular wiping because dust shows clearly.

A distinctive zig-zag layout that needs careful row planning and more time — details on our herringbone parquet page.
Bedroom, living room or office? Usage decides the wear class you need before anything else.
Request the product card and have origin, thickness and locking system written in the quote.
View the sample by day and by night, next to your furniture and doors — colour changes with light.
We test levelness and moisture and choose the underlay; see parquet installation.
We add a suitable waste allowance for the pattern and count skirting and profiles with the area.
| What to ask | Why it matters | |
|---|---|---|
| Country of origin | Where was the plank made, and is it written in the product data? | Protects you from relying on a brand name alone. |
| Wear class | Which class is recommended for my space? | Sets how long the surface lasts under daily use. |
| Thickness | How thick is it, and will it clear my doors? | Affects floor height and plank stability. |
| Core | Is the core HDF, and how does it handle humidity? | Determines behaviour as the weather changes. |
| Locking system | Is it a floating click installation? | Affects fitting speed and later repairs. |
| Documents | Which documents come with the product? | Proves the specs we agreed on in the quote. |
These are general questions to help you; we match them to your space after the inspection and never quote figures that do not appear in the product’s own data.
Send us the area and room type and we will arrange a visit where we measure the floor and you compare samples in your own light.
The air is dry for most of the year, air conditioners run for long hours and strong sun enters through large windows. These factors make the colour you pick and the way the floor is installed more important than the name printed on the carton.
We leave an expansion gap around the walls and cover it with skirting, and we take note of window and curtain areas that get direct sun because colours can fade there over time.

Some customers think “German” replaces reading the specs. It is safer to compare each product’s written data and ask for it in the quote itself.
The best plank will not perform well on a damp or uneven floor. Checking the base is part of quality, not an extra step.
Patterns, corners and cuts need a waste allowance. Buying with no spare can stall the job and complicate batch matching.
The new floor height affects doors, thresholds and cabinets. We review these points during the inspection and put them in the quote.
It starts when you send the area and photos of the current floor over WhatsApp, and we give you an initial idea of suitable options. Then we visit for a free inspection, measure the rooms, check levelness and moisture, and show samples under your own lighting.
Once you agree, we set a supply and fitting date and work room by room so parts of the home stay usable. At the end we fit the skirting and profiles, clean the site and leave you the spare planks that are in good condition.

Use a dry mop or vacuum to remove sand that scratches the surface, then wipe with a barely damp cloth without soaking the floor.
Wipe spills immediately and do not leave wet plant pots or damp containers on the planks for long.
Fit felt or cork pads under legs and avoid dragging heavy pieces across the floor.
For scratches or movement in planks, read parquet maintenance and repair.
Enter the room length and width in metres. We multiply length by width to get the area and add a waste allowance. Then send the result on WhatsApp with a photo of the current floor.
You cannot tell from the name alone. The term is used in the market in different ways — sometimes for origin, sometimes for an expected quality level. That is why we ask to read the product data and the manufacturing country printed on it, and our quotes state only what the data says.
Look at a wear class suited to heavy residential use, the plank thickness and the core type. During the inspection we also look at how you live — household size, pets, furniture movement — and recommend the best fit among the available samples.
In most cases yes, provided the tiles are firm and level, using a suitable underlay. If we find height differences or loose tiles, we tell you during the inspection what levelling is needed before laying.
Usually yes. An underlay softens sound, protects from rising moisture and absorbs small floor irregularities. The base check decides the type, and you can read more on our underlay page.
It depends on the area, the pattern and the state of the base. A medium room with a floating install is relatively quick, while patterns such as herringbone take longer. We give you an estimate after the inspection.
No. We do not publish fixed prices because they change with the product, the area and the base condition. We send a written quote after the inspection, and the factors are explained on our parquet prices page.
Yes. We supply and fit skirting boards and transition profiles within the quote if you ask. See skirting and profiles for the types.
Send the room sizes or measurements, the current floor type, photos of doors and thresholds, and the colour you like if you already have one in mind. We confirm the details at the free inspection.
