Bearing loads
Heavy machines press on small points and leave dents in soft surfaces, so we take that into account in the type and thickness.
A fitness club is not one zone: there is reception, changing rooms, a studio, a cardio area, functional training and free weights, each with its own load, noise and slip needs. We explain what vinyl and artificial turf suit in your space, and what needs a specialist weights floor, then supply and fit what we cover. Free inspection in Riyadh.

Before colour we look at what each zone must bear. For something broader see project solutions and sports artificial grass.
Heavy machines press on small points and leave dents in soft surfaces, so we take that into account in the type and thickness.
Dropped weights and jumping need an impact-absorbing layer that differs from ordinary hall floors.
Sweat and water make floors slippery, so we choose a suitable surface and ask about the product’s specification.
Frequent daily cleaning is easier on a surface that does not absorb liquids, and it keeps the look.
Jumping and weights carry noise through a building, and a suitable layer reduces transmission.
A wood pattern or calm colour in the studio and reception gives a polished feel.
No single floor suits every zone, and we decide the best fit for each with you.
| Suitable options | Note | |
|---|---|---|
| Reception, corridors, changing rooms | SPC, LVT or sheet vinyl | Easy to clean for plenty of traffic, in a wood or stone pattern |
| Yoga and pilates studio | Wood-look vinyl or light parquet | Warm for sitting and gentle movement, with quieter sound |
| Cardio area | Hardwearing vinyl, with a sound-reducing layer if needed | Taking machine weight and movement into account |
| Functional training and turf lanes | Artificial turf made for training | For sprint and sled lanes; see sports artificial grass |
| Free-weights area | A specialist rubber or impact floor | Vinyl alone may not be enough, and we say so openly |
We follow the manufacturer’s guidance on suitable use for each product, and do not promise what a product cannot bear.
It is better to tell you before fitting than after.
Vinyl and SPC floors are excellent for reception, corridors, light studios and the club’s office areas. Where heavy weights are dropped or very heavily loaded machines are used, it is a different matter.
Dropping weights on a vinyl floor can damage it and pass the shock into the building. This zone needs a rubber or impact-absorbing floor made for it. If you need one we explain the specification required, fit what we cover in the other zones and coordinate with the specialist floor supplier.
Heavy machines press on specific points, and moving them leaves marks on soft surfaces. We ask about machine weights and use a protector under their bases where needed.
We inspect the floor under the installation: concrete or tiles, and whether it is level and dry, because its faults show through thin vinyl. See vinyl installation Riyadh for details.
If the club is in a multi-storey building, ask about sound insulation and noise travelling to floors below, as that may need a special layer under the floor.

A light wood-look vinyl gives a polished appearance and wipes clean several times a day.

A neutral stone-look vinyl for long runs with few joints and easy cleaning.

Training turf is fixed on a level base for sprint and sled lanes.
We visit the hall, split it into zones by activity and ask about machines and opening hours.
We identify the zones suited to vinyl or turf and say which zones need a specialist floor.
We show vinyl and turf samples and set quantities.
We check and level the base floor, fit the floor and fix skirting and thresholds.
We wipe, check and hand over zones ready before the machines go in.
Send the hall area, the activities and photos of the current floor on WhatsApp, and we will arrange a visit in Riyadh to decide what suits each zone.
Cleaning the floor daily with a suitable cleaner keeps its look and reduces slipping. Remove sweat and water at once in busy areas, put a protector under machine bases, and never drag machines across the floor.
On the artificial turf lane, brush the blades to clean the pile and remove dust, and follow the product’s guidance on washing. We recommend checking floors regularly so raised edges or moving planks are treated before they grow.

It varies by zone: vinyl for reception, corridors and the studio, artificial turf made for functional training, and a rubber impact floor for free weights. No single floor suits every zone.
It may suit light weights and fixed machines with a protector under the bases, but dropping heavy weights needs a specialist impact floor, and we say so openly before fitting.
Yes for functional training zones and sprint and sled lanes, on a level base. We explain the types on our sports artificial grass page.
It depends on the product surface. We ask about slip specifications and suggest the best fit for each zone, and regular cleaning to remove sweat and water helps.
It depends on the area, the condition of the floor and the number of zones. We give a schedule after the inspection instead of a general estimate.
We explain the specification needed for that zone and fit what we cover in the other zones, and can coordinate with a specialist supplier for the weights area.
With a protector under the bases, spreading the load and never dragging machines. We ask about machine weights before choosing the type and thickness.
